WORLD PEACE Part 1

The Apostasy Unfolds

Lately I have been revisiting some thoughts on the ecumenism movement as it relates to politics and to freedom of conscience. I just wanted to start this as a series of blog posts to write down my thoughts as I go. I will start with my conclusions and expand as I have time. My conclusion is, that now, more then ever, we are witnessing the emergence of a "state-sponsored and enforced religion".

This should send chills down the spine of everybody, and especially Christians. This thing is gaining momentum very quickly, and as far as I can tell, the only thing that will stop it is a new age of martyrdom. I don't like saying that, but this thing is so entrenched already, the only way to counter it is with the pure, unadulterated truth of the Gospel. This will translate into quite a slaughter of faithful messengers. Those preachers of "tolerance" who seek to promote Universalism as a means to world peace, are either wittingly or unwittingly setting the stage for the biggest persecution of those who exercise their freedom of conscience the world has ever seen.

You see, those who want us to tolerate everything, don't seem to be able to tolerate those of us who make judgment calls on what is tolerable and what is not; on what is true and what is false; on what is up and what is down. Our freedom to make such "ungodly decisions", (as they would define them), will not be tolerated. All of our thoughts and conclusions from our thoughts will be measured and weighed with the new scales of "tolerance", "unity", and "diversity". What at first seemed like a harmless but annoying sick expression of a few college professors with too much time on their hands with the emergence of the Politically Correct movement, and the misguided heresy of a few compromising "Church Growth" seminars, has now exploded upon the world stage as a power that won't stop until it has imprisoned the minds and souls of everyone it lets live. Think I'm exaggerating? I wish I was.

Gambling is a Curse

THIS post, is a cleverly disguised plug for the Art of Bryan Castleman! :) (Again) If you must buy a shirt, (and who mustn't), then just buy one from Bryan. It's a win-win situation.

It's not like you're gambling away your money or anything. That would be what you call a win-lose situation. Think about it. When you gamble, there is ALWAYS a loser, usually you. When you buy a shirt from Bryan, everybody wins. Bryan gets your money, and you get a nice, durable, artistic, original display of your own expression! Everybody wins! (Win-win).

However, if you burn gas driving to the store, stand in line, spend your money, and scratch a card, you get nothing, (usually), and the state gets your money. (Win-lose)...unless of course you count gas, time, standing in line, spending money, and scratching a card, a blessing from God. That sounds more like a curse to me.

So buy a shirt from Bryan and be blessed instead, AND, be a blessing. Or, go and get cursed at the local liquor store and bless the wonderful and loving big brother state that just can't get enough of your hard-earned cash!

P.S. If you're upset because I haven't plugged YOUR blog yet, don't be. I probably have and you just don't know it yet. Or, maybe you should sell stuff?

Ignorance is Hell

Ignorance is not bliss. In fact, it can really screw you up. What we believe about ANYTHING, will effect every decision we make. If what we believe is false, the effect of our decisions based on that belief will reveal us to be fools...eventually; sometimes immediately; sometimes tragically. I should know.

Furthermore, what we decide about anything, will effect everyone we know. If what we do or don't do based on those decisions is foolish, the effect on those we know will be harmful...eventually; sometimes immediately; sometimes tragically. Again, this I do know.

And at last, if we only want the best for those we know and love, it only makes sense to make the best decisions. The best decisions are never based on ignorance. What is best is not always bliss. What is best for us is the truth. What is best for those we know and love is the truth. So what do we need to find the truth; to know the truth? Courage. And what is the truth about courage? It is when we are willing to face something that we are afraid of; the truth.

JUST ONE SAMPLE APPLICATION: Check out Castleman's Blog on Abraham Lincoln. Believe it or not, even what you know and believe about Abraham Lincoln has had a huge impact on your life, the lives of those you love, and those of the whole world. This particular knowledge and belief has corrupted countless decisions we've made because what we thought we knew was false. It has not produced bliss, but it has produced misunderstandings, false premises and false assumptions. It has produced faulty politics, faulty social relationships, faulty Church doctrine, faulty financial structures, faulty foreign policy, and so much more.

And when I say faulty, the truth is, I mean sinful. Ignorance indeed, breeds sin. So it would be much more appropriate to rephrase the axiom, "ignorance is bliss", to, "ignorance is hell". Have some courage, embrace the truth, and storm the gates of hell. You can start with Castleman's blog on Abraham Lincoln.

UPDATE DISCLAIMER TO YESTERDAY'S VIDEO:
I could have removed the video I posted yesterday and then said, "What?" "What video?" "I don't know what you're talking about." Haha! But I want to be as transparent about alternative news on this blog as I possibly can, so if there is a problem with any info I post, I want it to be thought about and analyzed openly and honestly. That is really the only way to get to the bottom of anything. It's not about pride, and it's not about sensationalism...it's about truth.

Therefore, after posting this video I did a little more looking into this George Green character. I believe what he is saying about the economy, food riots, etc..., is true, because I've heard all this for years from many other sources. I am posting an audio clip after I'm done with this to let you know what I'm talking about, so stay tuned.

However, this guy appears to be a New Age, UFO wack, who claims to talk to ET's! THIS, is a problem. This leads me to suspect that he is mixing in some truth with what he guesses to also be 'truth' that he learned (on the inside scoop), from ET.

Sooooo, I post this after-post disclaimer to convince me and you both, that we need to take what this guy is saying with the proverbial grain of salt. We might glean some insight from what he says, but buyer beware. It is better to be a "Berean" on this matter and check out the facts for ourselves.

This guy is at least good for instigating a fact-finding mission. If you haven't undertaken your own fact-finding mission yet in light of what's going on in the world, I suggest that you are way overdo! Do you want truth in your news? Don't hold your breath waiting for it on T.V. or in your newspaper or favorite radio talk show. We live in an extreme age of deception. You've gotta look, search, and dig, or just be another, ignorant, 'oink'. . . . Lighten up, it's just a rhyme; at least it should be, but I changed a word to make it less offensive.

Sermonwriter's Introduction

Welcome to the first blog of Sermonwriter's Blog!

Blog production and turnover time will probably be slow here, depending on how much time I have, but I thought I'd start with a little overview of who I am and what this blog represents.

The easiest way for me to do that would be to explain the blog's logo displayed on the top of the page. This logo was actually inspired by a current heated discussion I am having with my brother "The Outsider". We are discussing the value of imposing on the culture we share with "unbelievers", or heathens if you will, our own standards as Christians. Is this really a valuable thing in God's eyes? If so, is this of equal value as "spreading the Gospel" or evangelizing?

My contention is that all truth is God's truth, and every facet and nuance of that truth imposed or introduced into a pleuralistic culture, is just as valid and just as important as the Gospel itself. My logo explains this simplistically in pictorial description.

The sword, at the extreme left, is a symbol of God's all-encompassing truth. It is sharp, it is to the point. It cuts. It stabs. It penetrates anything it is applied to. It is the Gospel, but it is also more. The light radiating from the tip of this sword of truth, has many facets and elements which represent all truth as it is defined from God Himself in His Word. As stated, one element is the Gospel. Other elements would include the Law of God, His moral law, ethics, justice. His mercy, kindness, and love would also be truth from God as He defines these things.

As this sword of truth is introduced into a culture, and its many facets begin to illuminate the darkness, previously void of these things, all facets will supernaturally begin to take focus and begin to point to one thing and one thing only. This is represented in the logo by the stream of light shining from the tip of the sword and over toward the cross.

Is this realistic? Will all truth from God, eventually point to Jesus Christ, THE light of the world? I believe it will. As the logo demonstrates, all truth points to the cross of Christ, and the result will be the "lifting up of the Son of Man" where He "draws all men unto Himself", again represented in the logo by the crowd at the foot of the cross.

I have not given any theological arguments here for why I believe this to be true, but I just wanted to explain the logo, and its intended significance and meaning. To me, it is 'self-evident'. However, I do believe that there is sufficient Scriptural and historical proofs to verify my logo!

That said, as time permits, I may post some of these proofs as well as examples of how the sword of truth is so effective in bringing people to Christ, as well as exercising the authority of God, on earth, as it is in heaven.
